Freedom... A dangerous dream, or a treasured reality?
Loner is an Alien Breed, part of a DNA experiment by an evil corporation. When the Alien Breed were liberated, the individuals had only ever been known by numbers... now, as people, they chose their own names. It gives their name an extra meaning, not only because they chose it, but the majority of them were adults at the time, and did it while embracing freedom, and accepting themselves, and control of their lives.
Hope is not an Alien Breed... but she's not a human either. Turns out the Space Race isn't the only time the Russians competed with the Americans. When we meet Hope she's in captivity, only has a number, and Loner gives her a name, in part to inspire her, and in part to remind her that where others may be trying to dehumanize them, they aren't going to let them succeed.
I liked a lot in this done in one stand alone Kindle Unlimited quick read. One character knew freedom, and what it was to taste it and have it stolen, where freedom was nothing but a dream for the other. Both of them understood surviving, doing what it took to find their moment to escape ... and they had the strength to pay hard prices along the way.
Part of me wishes I'd skipped the prologues. This book reminded me of a tv show that shows you a dramatic scene from the halfway point... then says "36 hours earlier..." only I felt like I blinked and missed the roll back in time notice.

So much cruelty in the world
Loner was an alien breed and he had given himself the name loner for a reason. He had been taken and scientists had experimented on him for years. Until he was saved and taken to Eden where alien breeds could live their lives as they pleased some with human mates. But one day he was taken from Eden and he woke up in a cell.
All she had was a number no name just ST879 and she had been abused from a very young age taken and changed. She knew when she woke changed to a bed that they were trying to get an alien breed to take her against her will, to make her pregnant.
And that’s all I’m giving you because you need to find out what happens when loner meets ST879. There is action there is drama there is passion this feelings are so deep. Can ST879 trust loner when everybody that she has known as always let her down and used her for their own benefit?? Can I escape together?
I really enjoyed this book I couldn’t put it down until the very end it kept me hooked. I really felt for both loner and ST879 as admit to given a little cheer along the way. I am so loving this series and I can’t wait for the next book

The Alien Breed are humans who were crossbred with alien DNA and then usually abused and tortured or at least used illegally by their scientist handlers for nefarious purposes. Loner had come from such a life and found peace on the Breed’s planet, Eden. But he is kidnapped from Eden by bounty hunters and taken to a space station where these unscrupulous scientists continue their experiments. This time they want to breed him with a woman who’s DNA has been changed with tiger genes. The woman has no name, only a number. So Loner asks her to give herself a name, and she chooses “Hope”. Now Loner will try to make that come true for her.
This is a very different kind of series that always pulls me in. It isn’t always an easy story, but will definitely pull emotions from every reader. Each of the Breed has their own story that captures the attention and sympathy (or respect) of the reader. Loner is no exception – he deserves the love he and Hope can build together. Loner was walking outside the West Colony on Eden when he is hit by a small arrow and the drug on it knocks him out. When he comes to he finds himself in a cell with a woman shackled in a kneeling position and when he catches her scent realizes she is not fully human but is not an Alien Breed. The woman is only known as ST879 and explain her DNA has been mixed with that of a tiger. When he later refuses to eat the disgusting food he is given they take her away beat her badly and the guard rape her so he vows not to give them cause to punish her instead of him again. He tells her she needs a name rather than a number so he calls her Hope.

Her name is Hope and that is what he gives her
Loner is the seventh book in the Alien Breed series and is the story of Loner and Hope. This is a fast-paced, at time a bit rushed, but still enjoyable story. Both Hope and Loner suffer something that no one, human or alien, should have to. But it is Loner who keeps his eye on two prizes, Hope and the freedom he knows they will have.
This book has a good story-line and very good main characters in Hope and Loner. I would have loved a bit more retribution after everything Hope had to endure in her life, but that might just be me. Overall this was a nice read and good addition to the series.

Loner by Melody Adams was an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. It’s the heartwrenching story of Loner and Hope. They are being forced to undergo gruesome experiments by heartless individuals. They are subjected to torture and unspeakable punishments if they fail to obey. But, he is determined to return them to his former life.
Man….this story caused a few tears. All seems hopeless for these two souls….but, somehow there has to be a way out??? Though parts of this story were difficult to read…they were soooo emotionally draining….it was a fantastic story!!!!!

An amazing story in an amazing series. Loner is an Alien breed living on Eden. As his name suggests, he likes being alone. Once on such a trip in the jungles, he is kidnapped and taken to a planet, where he is put in a cell with a woman. She has no name, just a number. The scientists have mixed her DNA with a tiger. As soon as Loner sees her, he falls in love and promises to free her and take her to Eden. He also gives her a name. Hope. Loved this story. Cant wait to read the next book in the series. Thanx.

Loner walking outside the colony just exploring. Why did he wake up in a cell? He’s not even on the planet Eden. He’s in a cell with what looks like a female. And that crazy scientist that started it all has found her way to the lab conducting experiments. Loner must get help away from all this craziness. She is abused. Caution: there Are possible triggers in a story. So be careful. Hope is all Loner is thinking about and trying to save. Will they escape? Will they be able to return the Eden? Villains most definitely! Action definitely!

Hope and Loner have both grown up as a science experiment. Loner escaped from his captivity and is living happy in Eden, when he gets captured and put into captivity with Hope and expected to make a baby. He promised her that they will escape and return to Eden. I liked this book but was not overly spellbound by it. The characters are good but I think I just felt like there could be a little more something to the story.

Two genetically engineered superhumans are held captive by ruthless scientists who want to breed them. Imprisoned together, experimented upon, and abused by their sadistic captors, they fall in love and dream of a future together that will include freedom and vengeance. No spoilers in saying their dreams eventually come true in a predictable way. There is action, sex, romance, and violence. It's a pretty good story, just not a great one.

This is a short story, it's very well written, has action, mates and a happy ever after ending. The main female character is abused sexually at the beginning of this book by her enemies. If this is something that triggers you then I wouldn't read it. It really is a good book and the author shows an understanding of what happens to hope. She meets her mate while being a captive and he promises he will get them out of there and protect her always, and he keeps that promise.

Another wonderful short story about Loner who was taken from New Eden (breeder colony) and again experimented on by unscrupulous scientists deep in space. Loner is confined when a women is thrust into his cell for breeding. At first she only has a number but when they get to know each other better she chooses Hope. Can they escape their captors? This short read has a lot of depth - it's emotional, romantic, action pack, great characters, in a well written story in this series I enjoy reading and reviewing via Booksprout.

This is definitely a different take with this series! It is engaging and it sucks you in. The stories are written with a lot of drama and suspense. It is a bit fast paced but nothing that the reader cannot overcome. All in all it is a really good story and the plot is spot on. A very different take on an Alien series. It runs the gamut of emotions and you better bring the tissues. It is a well written story that follows along the lines of making a great series remarkable!

Such a fantastic story. So heartbreaking. Such cruelty done to others. So much emotion with this story. Loner getting caged again and then finding Hope. She had the DNA of a tiger and the claws to prove it. This had action, violence, pain, anger, fear, some sex, rape and I was so very glad when Loner proved to Hope that he kept his promise. Book seven in the Alien Breed Series a well written storey that kept me turning pages. Loner and a human woman who had her DNA changed with a Tiger, Hope has been in captivity since she was a child. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. It has suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, villains, twists, turns, and romance. I am glad that Ivanowitsch got what she deserved. Great Read
This was a great addition to this series. I'm a little behind on reading about the alien breed since some books aren't available in kindle unlimited, but every time see one I definitely make sure that I do. I loved Loner and Hope. Hope had a fierceness, but also relatable in various ways. And Loner was very loveable in his treatment of Hope. I'm dying to see who find their mate's next.

It's a shame that they could not get to Rape to deal with. I think they had a lot of restraint dealing with the rest of the people on the space station. Scared half to death Loner got help. I enjoyed reading this book, it has a good storyline. This story is entertaining, and filled with action and adventure. The chemistry and interaction between the characters of Hope and Loner is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. Melody Adams did a good job on this story, the plot was strong, it was packed with many emotions. Hope and Loner were strong characters, their journey was a rough one one but they were fighters. The connection between them was strong, they were made for each other.

I've read a lot of books written by Melody Adams; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Loner is no longer alone. It was kinda hard reading this. Most of the book tells of Loner and Hope’s imprisonment, the torture and cruelty they received. What was uplifting is Loner’s promise that he will bring her to Eden and experience freedom for the first time. That gave her hope.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. The story of Loner and ST879 (Hope). Loner was caught by bounty hunters and taken to a space station so they can experiment with the hybrid with other hybrid.

Another excellent story in this series. this one will really grip u emotionally as hope and loner are captured and experimented on. You will cheer for their survival against incredible even impossible odds. Richly detailed characters and great plot.

well, this was a tough read...there's torture, rape, brutal guards, evil doctor/scientist, etc... then there's love and hope, then the pain of losing the love of your life. it was a tough read. you only have hope left, just like the characters...

This is another great story in an addictive series! I really liked it.. It is full of drama and emotion, with enticing characters and edge-of-your-seat suspense!

A trigger at the start for some people but over all a fantastic read. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. The characters were very well developed and I enjoyed the chemistry between them. Another great read added to this collection
