Living on the Edge #1

Wrong Behavior

Rate this book
My one rule was always “never threaten innocent people,” women especially.

That sort of low-level bullshit was for amateurs. Hitmen. Coldblooded cowards. I’d have nothing to do with it.

But being shot in the leg after an ambush was a different story, especially in the middle of the night in New York. The rules went out the window. I needed help.

Then I saw the clinic. And I saw her. God, she was beautiful.

If this were any other situation, I’d have been asking for her number or buying her a drink.

But this wasn’t a normal situation. So I did the unthinkable: I threatened her with my gun.

Little did I know that she was about to knock me down. By stealing my heart.

Note: this is the first book in the series. Contains explicit language for a mature audience only.

Bad boy romance.

Hmmmmm, well, not so much a romance but a spark of chemistry and a few snogs!
Sydney's a vet, and when, late one night, a tall, dark stranger orders her back into the clinic with a gun to her head demanding she take the two bullets out of his leg, and stitch him up, before he bleeds to death...her life changes.
Keats is in some kind of mafia, after a weapons deal goes wrong and he's shot he escapes and happens to find Sydney. Sounds exciting...but it wasn't. Very short, written in the f/m pov, ott, unreal storyline, an introductory for what happens next.
