This first monograph on the Chinese contemporary conceptual artist Ni Haifeng examines the development of his work since the mid-80s and focuses on his main subject matter of representation, dislocation and cultural identity. Known originally for his large-scale installations, which combine painting and sculpture, Haifeng has included video and photography in his repertoire since settling in Amsterdam in 1994.
