This 80 page book is a good preview to the topic. It was engaging enough that I wanted to actually read the book and not just skim it. It gives introductory level coverage to the following issues regarding this topic: the scope of the hallucinogen problem in our society, the effects of their use, how addictive they are, the challenges in treating people who use them, and preventing the abuse of hallucinogens. There are full color photographs throughout as well as a few well-placed charts. At the end of the book there are source notes; organizations to contact - both for help and for further information; books, websites, and other online sources for further research; an index; and picture credits.
Other titles in the series are: Dangers of Alcohol, Dangers of Synthetic Drugs, Dangers of E-Cigarettes, Dangers of Heroin, Dangers of Marijuana, Dangers of Methamphetamine, and Dangers of Painkillers.
