A brilliant book which hosts numerous opportunities for creative writing ideas. The book brings together much of the content from across the National Curriculum, modelling to children how they can use the things they know and have learnt in their writing.
As well as acting as a stimulus for writing, e.g. creative writing, free writes etc., it can also be used for other subjects, e.g. 'The Room of Numbers' illustration can be used as a stimulus in mathematics for problem solving and reasoning. It could also link really well to science and/or PSCHE with the concept of future ideas.
One thing that I love about the book is the ongoing theme throughout of a love for learning. It is essential that students perceive learning as an enjoyable and appealing experience. The vibrant illustrations and excitement surrounding Tik and Tok's adventure into the learning world will help pupils to feel enthused about their own learning.
