Sam Young is a restless soul searching for his place in life. He's traveled across the world but never found a home or calling that suited him until he was called to sea. He is hired as a cook on the tour bout Celestine which is chartered to sail around the many undeveloped islands of the Tongan Archipelago under the command of the handsome and confident Captain Owen Hunt. Sam finds himself captivated at once but won't allow himself to pursue his feelings. Before he can resolve his budding feelings, a sudden storm wrecks the Celestine during a tour and blows the wreckage onto an uninhabited island, stranding Sam, the Captain, and the passengers.

The survivors must struggle to scrape out a life on the island as they wait for rescue but, amid the desperate fight for food, water, and shelter from the elements, romance blooms. Sam, in denial of his feelings, can't resist the urge to be near Captain Hunt and to make him proud. Hunt finds himself relying on Sam more as the only person on the island he feels comfortable to lose the facade of strength and responsibility around. But, as they grow closer, the danger is growing and rescue is far away...

Jerry Cole is a gay author who lives in California & enjoys writing love stories. Jerry has been writing fiction since he was a child. As a young adult, he worked as a freelance writer in the evenings & on weekends. Jerry started writing gay romance stories several years ago, but initially just for his own entertainment & occasionally sharing stories with his friends. Stranded

Adventure in the wide ocean…

When we are young we can sometimes be uncertain of ourselves. We can say exactly who we are (our name, our address, something about our personality), but never-the-less there is a vague feeling, a particular unknown we can't quite put our finger on. Of course as time goes on the unidentified can become clearer. This is a short story about such a situation. Cole's tale was full of action and excitement. It certainly successfully filled an afternoon.

„Stranded” is Jerry Cole Reader Club exclusive short story. It’s a story about Sam, a man who is looking for himself, by traveling. During one of his trips he starts working on a boat owned by Captain Owen. He’s instantly attracted to Owen, but doesn’t know how to act on it. When they land on uninhibited island after the storm Sam discovers that he found everything that he was looking for.
It’s a lovely story about finding yourself and your place on Earth. It had interesting plot and happy ending.
