Not bad! This was, all things considered, a very readable book. The language used was easy to follow and engaging, and the descriptions of the forest atmosphere and scenery were very vivid. The essays the author wrote about his perceptions of these animals were my favourites. The final few chapters, however, really differed from the ones before. They were a lot of short essays about the author's feelings and thoughts about events in his life, of local politics and controversies, rather than the essays narrating life as a wildlife photographer from earlier chapters. They weren't bad, but I must admit that they detracted from this book a bit. Great start, perfect middle, fumbled ending. Even so, I still enjoyed reading about this author's experiences in the forest. It was nice to be able to see the inner workings of this kind of life, which I will likely never have myself. Enjoyable!
