About the author

I began writing for science fiction fanzines in the 1990s - when the Internet was in its infancy and people still subscribed to periodicals that were printed on paper and sent through the post, if you can imagine such a thing.

I went on to become a published poet and short story writer, and attended the University of Derby, where I gained a BA honours degree in Creative Writing for Publication, Film & TV studies and Theatre Studies.

I also have a teaching degree and my own freelance tutor business, although I usually spend most of my time these days writing rather than teaching.
