About the author

Christine Lindop was born in New Zealand where she began her teaching career. She later taught EFL in France and Spain before settling in Great Britain, and has worked as an editor, proofreader, and writer since 1993.

With Oxford University Press, Christine has worked extensively on the Oxford Bookworms Library and is the Series Editor for Oxford Bookworms Factfiles. Her original titles include Sally's Phone and Red Roses (Starters), Ned Kelly: A True Story (Stage 1), and Australia and New Zealand (Stage 3). She has also adapted Goldfish (Stage 3) and two volumes of World Stories, The Long White Cloud: Stories from New Zealand (Stage 3) and Doors to a Wider Place: Stories from Australia (Stage 4), and edited A Tangled Web for the Oxford Bookworms Collection.

She has worked on many other Oxford readers series as both an editor and a writer.

the Attractive title,but the store is disappointing.
عنوان جذاب وقصة مخيبة للآمال ،قصة عن فتاة اسمها سالي تشتري هاتف جديد وعندما تستيقظ يخبرها حبيبها على الهاتف بأن تراه في الساعة السادسة والنصف مساء لكي ترى رئيسه الجديد وعليها أن ترتدي تنورة الزرقاء ولكن سالي لا تريد إرتداء التنورة الزرقاء لأنه قذرة وتذهب لعملها وتخبرعن صديقاتها عن ذلك فتقول لوسي من يحتاج رجلاً ؟ ونبدأ بتقليد الأوامر التي يقولها تذهب إلى الكوفي في وقت الغداء فتلقتي برجل اسمه بول تسقط حقيبته ويأخذ هاتفها وهي تأخذ هاتفه دون يشعران يتصل على بول أندرو حبيب سالي ويخبرها بأن الوقت تغير والمكان كذلك وسالي تتصل عليها أخت بول لتخبره بأن يأتي لحفلة عيد ميلادها ، فيقرر بول أن يلتقي بسالي لكي يأخذ هاتفه وتأخذ هاتفها وتقع في غرامه وهو يقع في غرامها بسبب التنورة التي ترتديها لونها أحمر

This is cool little book written for ESL adult students. The author is brilliant to have found niche market and filled it with something so fun!

Un libro bastante corto, y que me gusta por que es fácil el ingles que se emplea en él.

Principalmente la historia trata de Sally y Paul que, accidentalmente, intercambian sus celulares y tratan de localizarse para devolverlos :D

This is definitely for a younger audience and the writing was not that good. Narration instead of visualization in the writing (ex: Tanya is listening to the radio. Should read: Tanya listened to a sultry, soothing song playing on the radio.) They are both simple writing for young adults but one you can hear and see her listening to the radio and the other is dry as if someone is telling you instead of showing you. I still have to learn this as a writer, and the help of a good editor.

The story was quite a bore but a decent ending. I did look at the cartoonish pics with the writing which made it seem elementary instead of for teens.

It was a book in the library while I was updating our catalog, some of our book selections in the library, and do not recall ordering this at all. So far this book is not circulating either; but trying to find creative ways to move circulation.

برای پرسیدن از زبان آموزم هلیاجان خوندمش.

راستش داستانش شدیدا احمقانه بود. پاول شماره ی خودشو نمیدونست؟ به اندرو به همین سادگی خیانت کرد؟ حتی باهاش به هم نزد که بعدش با پاول بره پارتی؟ اندرو چرا اینقدر کنترلگر بود؟

تئوری من اینه که نویسنده یه فمینیست بوده که تو دنیای عجیب ذهنش یه ایده ی خلاقانه رو اینطور خراب کرده
