This second volume of "The Bible As Book" series investigates the history of the Bible between 1455 and 1520. In this series of scholarlty essays the early printing on the text, format and uses of the Bible are explored. Volume Two investigates the unique features of various editions of 15th-century printed Bibles as well as the social, political and technological circumstances under which they were produced. In addition to the Vulgate, the first editions of the Greek and Hebrew Bible are addressed. Co-published with The British Library.
