Eighteen-year-old Joshua Miller is great at being invisible, despite the four, large, insect-like wings protruding from his back and his knack for high-rise robberies. He can remember almost nothing of his life before Nik found him and taught him his trade. Now he’s alone, and he likes it that way. When Joshua unexpectedly meets Lexi on a job, his simple, uncomplicated existence shifts. Although he intends to remain uninvolved, something about her captivates him and he begins to let her in. As he navigates the strange nuances of a relationship with a girl as desperate to be different as he is to be ordinary, he becomes increasingly aware that he is not who he wants to be for her. Confronted by the past he’d forgotten and a family he didn’t know existed, Joshua must decide for himself where he belongs and who holds the key to his future.

Want a book that's not about vampires, werewolves, and all the other usual paranormal characters? Then you should definately read and you'll enjoy Dragonfly by Alyssa Thiessen! I was pleasantly surprised about this book. It's not something I normally would have picked up, but I do like paranormal books, so I thought ... Well and it exceeded my expectations! Nicely done with some twists, likeable characters and a forward moving plot.

What a unique take on a crowded genre. A YA novel featuring a tortured lonely teenage boy... who is also a dragonfly! This sometimes felt like a Marvel take on the classic YA story, and I mean that in a good way. The first half is pretty gritty, and overall the story makes an emotional impact. Well-paced and full of fun, delightful twists, you don't want to miss this book.

This book was pretty damn cute!! Kinda short/rushed and I wish it would have explored the magic/fantasy side of things more. But if you like romance you would like this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book...it's not your typical vampire/werewolf supernatural character...he's a dragonfly! I liked the plot twists and enjoyed the characters.

I stumbled on this one by accident, and was completely intrigued by the premise. Joshua is a great character, troubled, but with a good heart beneath it all. He just needs a reason for his existence. He doesn't know who he is or where he belongs. Trapped in a lonely limbo, he becomes enamored of a girl who lives in a home he had initially planned to rob.

Lexi is a solid character as well, but I had to dock a star simply because their meeting was a little far fetched. What girl would trust the guy who came to rob her house, no matter how intriguing he is? And seriously, not only was he was dumb enough to take off his mask - but then he comes back...

First, YAY! This is the first book I receive in the mail from a publisher to be review and all I have is good things to say. 'Dragon Fly' did exactly what I enjoy seeing in books, ROMANCE! By reading the back of the book I knew automatically a love story was in the mix. While living in such a dark world and having the opportunity to find someone who actually can bring light into the darkness in you existence is just beautiful, without realizing it. While Joshua falls in love with Lexi he forgets the main purpose of his job, which is to get into the house take whatever he can and leave and never return. While meeting Lexi everything has changed in Joshua's life. Sitting on rooftops and seeing Lexi look up to the sky waiting for him to return to her made it harder for him to keep on with his route. The books start off with a loss of memory, and not knowing exactly where he came from to meeting this girl, that made these strange emotions grow, Joshua starts to question his past, he opens his eyes to change and new emotions. which he always saw as impossible.
