A very full coverage of the Falklands war between Britain and Argentina. Well over half the book is dedicated to the historical background of the tussle between the two countries over the sovereignty of the islands up to and including the international attempts to stave off a conflict right up until war broke out.
The British response was complete and the result inevitable and well known but several catastrophes and near catastrophes are well covered and show that the British planning and actions were, at times, poorly and un-wisely carried out.
Mind you, the Argentinian's don't come out looking great either.
