A bias review as the author is my step-mother.

A great start for a new author. The story, based on a loose reinterpretation of the author's family history has a good moving story line with well developed characters. A few more nit picky comments are more from the former horse person in me, but I enjoyed the book and enjoyed seeing the maiden novel from a new author.

I bought this book at a book signing in Lincoln, IL while attending my husband's high school reunion. The author and my husband were classmates. I was disappointed in this book. A good editor could have done wonders for it, though. If I read one more time about the fog swirling around someone's legs, I would have screamed. It was just too predictable and boring.
