Very much a straightforward book on what it states. It goes through a variety of projects, mostly relating to Pennsylvanian Dutch heritage. A good beginner book for those who want to know more about how to paint wood. They go into brushes to use, as well as different paints. A lot of it wasn't practical for me, as I was more interested about "hex" signs in this particular heritage, and while they did have one, they didn't go into the background of why's... But the book is good if you're looking for what it says, painted wood projects, and the author goes through them step by step.
