Inspiration

Another excellent read from this author. This story is an example of Christians facing many trials and tribulations, but God delivering them out of it all! I enjoyed the details of the praise and worship team during services. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, excited about reading more from this author, and would certainly recommend this book. Excellent choice for a book club.

Another awesome book. There are times when things go wrong in our life, and we call it quits. Shayla had a rough life with her husband, she divorced him, but he was still there for her. Once he decided to move on with his life she snapped. This book touched a few family issues. Surrender to God and He will take care of it.

When You Have Challenges in your Life

This book is a very good interesting read. The characters in the storyline were so real, when you see the chaos, love, hate, envy, fear, grief and depression that was happening in their lives. I even saw myself in the storyline. Thank God for his love, grace, mercy and most of all his Word, that helps us to depend on him and not ourselves or anyone else.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
I recommend this book to others to read.

Excellent! Excellent! Reading. Please keep them coming!! The story is so real.

There are challenges in life that are constantly un-addresses and we really need to be covered in God's love and professional help, if needed.

This book helped me in so many ways. I really appreciate all your spirit references😍

Suspense is great. Cant wait to see how the story enfolds.
Sin is forever present in our lives and the story is no different,
The characters are real, they can be identified with. Love it so far!

After Church

I enjoy reading this book. Was looking for more on the characters in this book. Satisfy with what you deliver Genevieve, I pray that people who read this book will realize that depression is in the Church. On to the next book in the series

Depression

This book had so many things going on that I was surprise and couldn't put it down. Once I thought I figure something out it would be something else going on.

Did not like the setup of the chapters

I would have given this a five but the setup of the chapters really irked me. I'm hoping the future books are not setup like this.

What An Amazing Follow Up

To my surprise this book had an amazing continuation. There is nothing like an author who takes their time, and allows the characters to grow. It takes some serious dedication and is well appreciated by the readers who have engulfed in this story... from the beginning, Benjamin and Camille's story has been so romantic and Kodak, it was nice however, to see that their relationship has grown since the last book and that even though they seemed perfect, that they disagreed on certain situations in this current book (don't want to be too specific, part 2 is so good I don't want to spoil it for others). Nonetheless, it made their relationship seem even greater than it already was and it didn't fall into that 'boring' category that most romance and Christian novels fall into.. Because this book started where it left off at part 1, I was also able to progress with the other characters like Kevin and Paige who had me deeply concerned about the way they would pan out but it all worked out for the best, leaving me happy for them and their new arrival... as I stated in book 1, Paige is my favorite character because I can see a lot of myself in her. Her taking baby steps and changing her life didn't go unnoticed and I am so happy that she was able to accept Jesus Christ in her life. Such a beautiful testimony within itself... as for Frankie and his wife... Well, let's just say they took me on a ride that I was ready to get off of and smack the heck out of his EX wife, Shayla. How dare she be such a menace... I did not see that coming and the entire situation left me completely outraged from the moment I read what happened. She got what she had coming and I am glad that her girls Dawn and Autumn stayed humble and level headed through all of this to help their father transition from having a new wife and baby sister WHILE dealing with their insane mother..Smh...

This book does deserved all 5 stars. While most sequels don't hold a candle to their first releases, I felt that this series has kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. And I am even more surprised because I still am not through yet. I am gladly moving forward to Dawn and Autumn's story because that boyfriend of Dawn's is something I really don't like and I would like to see how they make it out of this one! I am completely intrigued by how this author wove all of these characters together so gracefully and delivered a beautiful message that brings you back to God! He is definitely the healer of all things and it was represented very well. This was great work and I can officially say that this is another MUST READ!! You can't read this one without reading the first one and you can't read the first one without reading this one!! I am very excited about reading the next book in this series! Gene has done it AGAIN!!

After Church by Genevieve Woods is the second book in the Greatest Love series but can be read as a stand-alone. It is a contemporary Christian romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
After Church is packed full of themes and also has God at the centre. There are many Christian characters who struggle through life, making them realistic and easy to empathise with. Their struggles highlight their human fallibility. We are all just one step away from falling back to where we were before we met Jesus. Within the novel Genevieve Woods shows how God meets us right where we are. "Our battle's are the Lord's and He alone can fight and win them." He sends people alongside to support in times of trouble.
Prayer is of utmost importance. God knows just what we need and when we need it. He provides "an answer to prayers she had yet to pray." God knows our hearts.
Family is a strong theme running in tandem with the need to belong. Family may let us down. "She joined a gang to have some semblance of family." We need to know that God will not let us down. We need to join His family which is the church. The church is not always perfect but there will always be some-one to stand alongside us.
There are some very vulnerable characters in After Church. To keep safe sometimes people build walls. "It was safer to hide behind brick walls erected early in life." These very walls built to protect us, end up keeping others out. We need to build trust. Trust between others and trust of God. We were never meant to live in isolation but in relationship with God and each other.
Forgiveness is another theme within the novel. We need to forgive others and we need to forgive ourselves. "She felt she deserved to be miserable." No-one is so far from God that He cannot reach them. No-one is too bad for God to redeem.
After Church was a cracking novel. It was packed full of Godly advice and Godly themes. I am sure that I have only scratched the surface with this review. It's a perfect read for a quiet, chilled evening. I loved it.

This is one the greatest stories I’ve read this year! I adore the bond and faith-driven support between this small group of friends. I fell in love with each character, as each battled internally and externally to make it through every trail and tribulation thrown their way. Unfortunately, not every battle within this story was conquered. Along the road to victory, elbows were thrown and lives were lost. Nonetheless, this group of friends were triumphant. However, being a hopeless romantic, it really was the romance captured in this story that I enjoyed the most. There are 3 main couples carrying 6 different types of baggage. So the drama is plentiful, but the LOVE, the LOVE is unyielding! Truly symbolic to God’s love. Full of hope and faith, after reading this book you to will find yourself saying I can do all things through him which strengthens me!

The author does a good job of intertwining faith and romance, Paige is still my favorite character. The character voices have greatly improved from the previous book. My issue is still the same from the previous book, there is way too many characters, which made it hard for me to invest into the storylines. The beginning of the book was confusing I had to go back and read the end of the first book to understand and still was a little confused. Next time I would suggest the author focus on one couple at a time and maybe introduce other characters that will be written about in the future. Overall this author has great potential and I look forward to reading her next story.

Another great captivating book by Gene Woods! It's full of real life drama & hope, and hard to put down! Most of the characters are easy to fall in love with, and are well-developed. They learn to forgive & let go of their anger, pain, & resentment. I laughed over "a holiday of lamentations & regrets!" How often do we make it a holiday?! I could identify with having an "emotional breakthrough with the lyrics of the song", and especially loved the song in the book: "I am nothing, Lord. I'm nothing without You". This is a book that everyone can identify with some character or problem. It will make you anxious to get the next book in this series to find out what happens.

The message of hope continues.

This second book of the Love Series did not disappoint. It was full of twist and turns and surprises along the way which makes for a great read. But better yet, this story helped me so much in my continuing recovery of losing my loved one. It has strengthened me to continue on my journey of healing from grief and it continues to give me hope. I loved the characters in this book. They were real people. They showed that life continues no matter where we are in our journey. The message that God is always with is was so prevalent in this book as it should be in our lives. God truly is our strength and refuge. He is our hope.

This Series Continues to Intrigue...

Genevieve Woods continues to display her skills as a writer in the second book of this Incredible series. Life is crazy and things happen when you're lest expected. The couples in this series continue to go through trials and tribulations, but through the Grace of God, they continue lead the path to righteousness. I'm eager to continue this path with this group.

I read this book and it was marvelous. It was better and more in depth than the first in the series. Now the characters true personalities are coming out and you can see who they are. Can't wait for the next installment.

The second book in The Greatest Love Series was an excellent read. The characters all went through so much, even dealt with death. What I liked was most characters have become stronger in their faith in the Lord and their significant other.

It's Amazing!...

What happens after the benediction. Brave face in church while your heart is aching. Christians have issues, we just hide them better. Going back and read Book One of this series.
