Essays by David Phelps, A.E. Benenson, and an interview with David Joselit. Curated by A.E. Benenson, "Where 2" opens December 14, 2013 and will run for two months at Where. This exhibition recontextualizes Douglas Gordon's super-durational appropriation work "24 Hour Psycho" (1993) within contemporary networks of live-streaming and digital media piracy. Working as an act of recursive appropriation, "Where 2" screens Hitchcock's "Psycho" (1960) once daily in the gallery, streaming the footage via webcam to gallery's website at Gordon's prescribed speed of 2 frames per second, creating a continuous, unauthorized digital version of "24 Hour Psycho."  1397myrtleavenueunit4brooklynny11237.com
