Not the kind of book you sit down and read cover to cover, but that's exactly the point, and it delivers on what it promises. I picked this up for work and it's become one of those references that just lives in my truck now.
What I appreciate most is how genuinely practical it is. The conversion tables and electrical formulas alone have saved me from digging through my phone mid-job more times than I can count, and having pipe thread standards and motor ampere ratings all in one compact place means I'm not flipping between three different sources when I'm trying to move fast on a call.
The troubleshooting guidelines section has become a quiet favorite, it's not exhaustive, but it's enough to jog my memory on things I don't diagnose often enough to have memorized cold. The fuel cost comparison section is a nice touch too, useful when customers are asking questions on the spot.
If I have any critique, some of the formatting feels a little dated given how long this edition has been around, a more modern layout would make quick scanning even easier. But for the price and the pocket-sized convenience, this earns its spot in my work bag.

What can I say: I like to be prepared at work so Yes, I will spend my own money to make me smarter at work. Only after I bought it did I find stuff in it that will help me at home because there is data for old upright radiators! Who'd a thunk it!
