About the author

Osman Karatay was born in Çorum in 1971. He graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of History. He completed his master's degree at Gazi University in 2002 and his doctorate in the field of medieval history at the same university in 2006. He became an associate professor in 2010 and a professor in 2016.
