Great Information

On how to motivate and communicate effectively with employees to get the best from them and make them feel invested in the company. I liked her take on leader vs. individual contributor and her four steps to increasing employee engagement. The use of champ and some of her examples were a little condescending but, overall, she gets to the point, stays on task and gives concrete ways you can use her material. I thought it was well done. I did listen on 1.5 speed as I usually do.

I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom! and am leaving honest feedback about the quality of the material.

A brief, very clear description of four things managers need to do and four additional characteristics managers need to have in order to create an engaged workforce in today's business environment.

There is an authoritative summary at the end of each chapter which suggests next steps for the reader who wants to undertake this process. Many of these steps are very challenging. If Ms. Christensen had included more resources to help the reader meet these challenges, I would have rated the book at 5 stars.

The author has a very well written and structured book, she also adds a checklist at the end of each chapter.

The advice and information in this book can be used for all businesses types and sizes.

This book is an easy to use four step plan that can be tailored to motivate and engage employees.

The information was narrated by the author, Jill Christensen.
I really like it when authors have the time to narrate their own book(s).
