When everything goes wrong during her first week of sixth grade, Kaitlin Durham is relieved when she makes two new friends in Emily Delgado and Lexie Taylor, and the three plan a weekend sleepover, with disastrous results. Original.
Rhys turned to writing children’s books under her married name, Janet Quin-Harkin. Her first picture book was an immediate success and won several awards. More picture books followed, then her agent asked her to write a book for young adults. This was a turning point in Rhys’s career. Her first young adult novel was an instant hit. By her third she was selling half a million copies. Many more popular YA novels followed until Rhys decided she had said all she wanted to say about teenage love and angst, and she turned her real love—mysteries.
I just started the book now,I'm on page 45. I think that the beginning was very interesting. It basically starts with the main character Kaitlin, and she's a bit nervous to go to school, so she decided to lie and say "My stomach really hurts!!" Kaitlin is starting 6th grade, and this is a new school for her, she moved from a city to a small town, which is different for her. I really think this book is really good. I don't think it was boring at all, I think that it was very interesting. I know that this book wont be boring, by looking in the beginning!
