Just okay read.
Should be more like a 2.5 stars. Started with teenage brother going to jail for underage drunkenness and being raped. Brother determined to take down everyone involved. Calls is "defending his honor." Narrative style was different, every character was writing their thoughts and plans. Some parts what was written was completely different in the next page, made me go back and read again, thinking maybe I got it wrong. Really don't recommend this book to anyone.

A solid debut with a well-thought out and executed plot and sequence of events, which all merge to form a fascinating suspense/thriller about misplaced loyalty, misguided justice and cold-hearted revenge.

Great Read
I enjoyed this book, it was witty, funny and serious at times, also to really think about it, this could happen to anyone.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The book starts off strong, with one of the characters being in a mental institution after being sexually assaulted in jail. You really feel for the character's plight and start rooting for him. Then the focus shifts to his older brother, Jason, who's character is hard to determine at first, but very quickly, and seemingly out of the blue becomes a murderer, trying to avenge the injustice done to his brother. The character progression of these two in particular is erratic and unrealistic. Both brothers seem to, very early on in the book, loose their grip with reality and have no problem murdering and hurting innocent people that they deem as annoyances or deserving of their homemade justice. There was no real build up to Jason or Matthew becoming killers (or attempted killer's in Matthew's case), all at once they just were. And neither of them seemed to experience any hardship over it either. In Jason's case he lost his girlfriend, left his family and conceded to living his life on the run as though it was all just expendable.
In short, the story line was good, the characters were ok and the overall feel of the book left something to be desired. But I will definitely give this author another shot as I really think the author was on the right track with this book.

the story is in reguards to mattew Rincon.he was drinking and hanging around the parking lot of the peking dragon.. the owner Michael chang called the police... mattew was taken to court his lawyer peter garrison thought he would get off on the charges but mattew goes to jail where he is sexually abuse and he is not the same kid when he gets out..his brother Jason felding decides that both chang and garrison must pay for what happened to mattew...

I liked the interchangeable characters views. It was a new twist with the characters thoughts and actions. I enjoyed this very much!

Interesting twist on suspense
This is definitely a twist on the attorney/courtroom thriller, where the attorney becomes a Private Investigator and completely leaves the courtroom.
