I found this little gem of a story through an author friend on Facebook. While it is a short story, it is sexy, erotic and exciting following the devil's own daughter as she collects souls for her father. Finding Correll, the man who's soul she is meant to capture, throws turmoil into her life, as she may be developing human feelings for him.
"Correll was more in tune with her needs than any man whose soul she was destined to take. He took her to highs she had never known before, and Correll knew it."
"Free...she pondered the word. Jordan did not feel free, if anything she felt trapped, trapped beneath the hand of her father, trapped by his influence, trapped by just being the daughter of Satan."
"He caught Jordan's lip between his teeth, taking in every inch of her scent, that sweet perfume as it mingled iwth the salt of her sweat."
Excellent free short story, set in New Orlean in the late 1800's.

Awesome Story!!
Don't get me wrong being the daughter of the Prince of Darkness still sounds crazy but to be the favorite daughter of Satan still would leave you on your toes and looking over your shoulder. Jordan plays her part very well by protecting something dear to her, her love. Which is bad for the line of work she's in. She's not supposed to love, it's not in her nature but letting her father taint it is something she's not having. You will love the story behind Jordan, the Hellcat from Hell.

This novel was rather short. It was a unique approach to teasing the reader with the content within and leaving them upset that there was not more. I jest as I speak in third-person. The storyline was dark, a hidden pun of sorts for the name of the author, Angelique Darke.
The daughter of Lucifer Baptiste is dwelling in New Orleans where she finds stealing souls to be very easy, until she meets a man who excites her being. He does things to her that no other has ever succeeded in doing. Her erotic pleasures are sated, only by him. Jordan Baptiste falls in love and risks everything to keep her “pet” from losing his soul, even fornicating with other men.
This passionate tale of love teases the reader’s mind in a multitude of ways. The storyline is creative and compelling. The content is dark, yet erotic as implied. The drama is well-written, and the details of Lucifer are not left unnoted.
Whether it’s a good short-story you are looking for, romance or erotica, or just something new and fresh, this is a great start for a series. Angelique Darke left me enticed. As I read some of the scenes I found my mind drifted away to that primal place that is meant for private time. I want more from this author, and what I mean is that I want to read more by this author and perhaps one day meet her in person to autograph a copy of her books. This book holds the elements of a five-star review for me. If you don’t believe me, read it yourself and let me know after your private time.

Short read but oh so tantalizing! I loved the daughter of the Devil being known as a Hellcat and collecting specific sins for her father. Writing was descriptive, you got a good feel for N'Orleans in the time period and the sex was hot. Anxious to read another of Angelique's books. Think she will be a big new comer in erotica!
