At first this book reminded me of Louis L'Amour's The Tall Stranger, but then it took on a more original feel. The writing is slightly above average and the story entertaining so I give this piece 6 stars out of 10.

I was disappointed in this book. Tex Holt is a pen name of Archie Joscelyn and I have read many of his books. However the plot premise and the villains were not believable. Read another book.
