The Rockford Element

Rate this book
A particle physicist devastated by the loss of his wife from a recent car accident believes he can get her back by using a newly discovered element that appears to have time travel abilities. His plan is to use the element to go back in time to the day of his wife's accident and do something to prevent it. The problem is that he keeps failing to reach the day of his wife's accident because he needs more electron volt energy. In a desperate attempt to go back far enough in time, he gets reckless and bypasses a safety circuit in the accelerator control circuitry allowing him to generate the maximum amount of electron volt energy possible. Unfortunately, instead of taking him back in time the element turns into a nightmare that he must now fix or the earth is doomed for certain destruction.
