Great ideas and easy-to-follow patterns to help you create your own knitted doll. Am very pleased with my creation - a Faye doll for my daughter - and will be able to knit extra little outfits that I can steal from the other dolls. The Techniques section of the book was incredibly helpful in so many ways. I have definitely improved my knitting skills after reading this book.

12 Adorable Dolls and their clothes to knit for family and friends, can't wait to get started.
l have always crocheted dolls and gnomes last year, but thought l would have a go at doing some knitted ones to emulate my friends who l give them to, what a super book to do this.
You hear from the author how she decided to do these dolls and to the instructions for yarn, needles and stuffing.
she goes through abbreviations for stitches to use and also what different meanings are for letters like P2tog etc
Then onto making the dolls, which one do you choose to start with.
she tells you with each project how much yarn you will need of each colour used, whether you use her colours or not. There is also a finished size measurement of each doll. Good to have, l think.
Loved some of the embellishments for dolls from mary janes hoes to little handbags etc. Each doll has it's own set of clothes, but what fun to make all the clothes and then mix and match with each doll?
Love the little boy doll with his clothes
There are full instructions, charts for embroidery/cross stitch on the clothes and tons of accessories to knit.
the author shows you how to finish off your doll and at the end of your book, you see additions on how to cast off, either by knit or purl.
Loved this book and well done to Louise Crowther and D & C Books for publishing it.

Fabulous book on knitted dolls. This copy was on kindle unlimited and I’ve purchased a paperback copy as it’s very difficult to follow all the instructions on a kindle.

So cute! These little dolls are adorable and seem pretty easy to knit. I love their little outfits and the descriptions of each one. There are instructions for changing the hair, eye, and skin color to suit the potential owner. If I were still a little girl I would love to receive one. (True confession: I’m thinking about making one for myself.)
