The saying goes, "What’s done in the dark soon comes to light”. If it meant tearing through someone else’s happiness to claim the heart of another, would you do it?
Derek was charming, successful, and fine as wine. His wife, Angie, adored him and loved what their relationship had become. Happiness and trust wasn’t an issue; their life seemed to be perfect. However, Derek falls for temptation on a trip that was supposed to be strictly business; the very person protecting his secret is the one who wants to be his number one.
When the unthinkable is revealed, Angie is faced with ending her marriage. She finds herself having to choose between taking a chance on a new love, or fighting for what’s hers. Three hearts… One lie… Will someone else claim Derek and take the life Angie has, or will Angie fight to regain and keep what’s hers?
This book had me fussing, fighting, wanting to cuss somebody out, crying, laughing, upset, angry and happy! It is well written and I was fully engaged. For the first time, I had assigned actors to portray two of the characters (in my mind): Morris Chestnut as Derek and Idris Elba as Aron. Those are just MY choices!
Wanting Whats Hers had me from the first paragraph. Not wanting to give to much away, this is a must read book! It shows life after events that you think you can never get over. I loved Latoya & her role in the story. Even though small it was very significant. Kudos Khara for another five star
Wow this is one of those stories I went to sleep reading and woke up all during the night trying to keep my eyes open so I could find out what the ending was going to be. Great read with lots of twists and turns you don't see coming. I laughed and cried while reading this book. I wanted to jump in the pages sometime and beat Breana and Brian ass. Good job Khara Campbell
Great read. This was my first time reading this author work. I enjoyed this story. It's amazing how friends can be so backstabbing. Also, how messy people can be and to only think about themselves and not the harm they are doing to others. But God was the head of this and they loved they had prevailed. Great read. Glad it was a standalone
This was a nicely developed story. Feeling and emotions of the characters was well defined. Not gonna say much so I don't spoil anything. But I believe you won't be disappointed. So read it. I recommend it.
I was so glad they were able to mend their relationship. I have never felt more sorry for a cheating husband than I felt for Derek. He was really a great husband who made a mistake.
This is the second book I've read by the author and she is very good at capturing your attention. The only thing I was a little frustrated with is believing some of the characters motives, but overall I loved the book.
OMG, this is one of the best books that I've read in a while. I couldn't put this book down. I loved this story so much. You are my new favorite author. This is a must read.
This book was very emotional and fun to read. At times you want to cry, yell or cuss Derek out. Eventually the ending calm all the emotional feeling . Well done Khara Campbell. Good read
Very good book, I found myself rooting for Derek and Angie, but also wondered how I would feel in this situation. I guessed a very important part early on in the story and I am glad I was correct. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.
