An interesting little book with a personal account of Daniel Boone from a man who knew him.

There are several moving accounts, one being from the Battle of Blue Licks. Near the end of that episode Houston records, "'[Daniel speaking]...and here I am safe, thank God, but it is painful to think that my poor boy has fallen prey to the scalping knife.' And here the old pioneer wept bitterly."
