Sophie the Squirrel can't wait for the Misty Wood fair. She and her friends are going to perform a special dance. But when they try to practice, things keep going wrong. Sophie is upset--she's sure it's all her fault. Maybe some Misty Wood magic is what she needs . . .
2nd grade - J picked this out at the CCE library - it's a fun book, just what she loves, animals, she read it in one day, love to see her reading whole books on her own
Early Chapter book. Sophie the Squirrel and her friends are going to perform a maypole dance at the Misty Woods fair, which is a tradition of theirs every year. But, when they are practicing the day before, Sophie's tail keeps getting in the way, and she is very upset and nervous. To help with these feelings, Sophie's father takes her out at night and has her catch rainbow stardust from a shooting star to help her with the dance. Then, any issue that comes about the next day before the dance can be solved by Sophie and her magic to make the perfect day.
Activity: PowerPoint about if you could have stardust give you any power or wish, what would it be? (Slides would include Wish or power with details, what that power would allow you to do (with pictures), why you chose it, and how you would use it to help others.)
