Grey Tiger Books presents DJ and lead singer Scarlet West’s diary documenting her inner and outer life in London’s Soho and beyond from 2006 to the present.
This is my pal Scarlet's memoir covering a period in her life from 2006 and 2015. It's honest to the point of heartbreak as she navigates from swish Soho glitterati gatherings, to police cell, from performances onstage and in the DJ booth to visits to Oldham then always home to her beloved Leytonstone.
Scarlet says it as she sees it. She is an observer of people and is as brutally blunt about her own situation as she is in her observations of others.
My heart beat so fast reading some of the scary situations she found herself in, (unstable roommates with samurai swords for one, and crack dealers taking over her dad's place are just a couple of examples). She also made me cry and laugh.
I don't think you'll find many books like this. Give it a read and let me know what you think.
