A great book on doing DIY Architecture in the field. The book takes you through the development of the norwegian architecture firm TYIN, from before it had its name to the beginnings of the company's commercial work . The text reads as unpretentious, honest and clear. It doesn't try to romanticise the ordeal of building in a foreign context with little experience nor does it try to hide the conflict that occurs when stress is high and a lot of people are working together -and the practice starts to get a lot of national and international attention. A great book for Students, teachers and practicing architects alike, also for anybody considering NGO-NPO work - Or anybody else interested!
