I read this book for a book discussion at our library. It's set in Michigan, which is interesting, and is self-published. It was really well written, and touching without being sentimental. It didn't say so on the cover, but it almost certainly was autobiographical--it felt so real. It had every opportunity to become sappy, but was moving and inspiring instead!

i absolutely loved this book. it has touched my heart in so many ways. i cannot believe that it has not actually been published yet. that saddens me because i would recommend to almost everyone i know so that they read it and become inspired from it. it is a really good book and i hope that one day it does get published.
