I was slightly disappointed with this book. Although it has some interesting and useful information, there's not a lot that you couldn't learn by doing some online research. I was expecting a more in-depth coverage, but I suppose it's hard to give specifics when readers will be in different areas, or even countries, with different regulations, and you have to push using an architect, builder, etc, to a certain extent because different readers will have different skill levels. It started off well, but got more needlessly wordy, repetitive and somewhat preachy by the end. At times, there was a large focus on minimalism, which isn't always relevant if the homeowner puts multiple containers together, as well as obvious information on how often to clean your house, etc. It was also a shame that the pictures were all in black and white, and largely too small and too blurry to properly make out, and the layout and editing of the text was largely distracting. This book definitely could have done with a semi-decent editor. But it's fine for a real beginner who doesn't mind going on to do their own more in-depth research.

A very thorough & thoughtful overview from start to finish.

This book really did give one the sense of what to look for when obtaining a container & the proper way to prepare it prior to building it for habitation. Most other books never even mention this point. This book is very well put together from beginning to end & I highly suggest it as a must read for anyone considering even doing such a project. Thank you for raising so many necessary, but relevant points that everyone needs to know the answers to.

Not bad

Not bad but not really good either, a few good ideas and a lot of words for no reason.
It’s okay.
