One Too Many is a crime novel, a love story, and a psychological case study.Alex Hardy (not his real name) made his fortune and retired early by working diligently at that most quintessential of American enterprises—armed robbery. He has succeeded where others fail by relying on iron discipline and absolute self-control. Now he’s dabbling in the arts, playing guitar and enjoying the laid back lifestyle of Austin, Texas. The only problem is he’s bored out of his mind, so he starts working again, just to have something to do.
