Most zombies are not very smart. However, Brian is different. He is a smart, book-loving zombie. When a zombie horde gathers, Brian knows nobody is safe. Can Brian stop the dangerous zombie horde? Better yet, can he stop them by using meatballs? Follow Brian through this crazy adventure in this funny early chapter book.
Blake A. Hoena grew up in central Wisconsin, where, in his youth, he wrote stories about robots conquering the Moon and trolls lumbering around in the woods behind his parents house, and the fact that the trolls were hunting for little boys had nothing to do with Blake’s pesky brothers. Later, he moved to Minnesota to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Since graduating, Blake has written more than thirty books for children, including retellings of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the Perseus and Medusa myth. Most recently, he’s working on a series of graphic novels about two space alien brothers, Eek and Ack, who are determined to conquer our big blue home.

A fun, quick story with cute, colorful, and goofy zombie illustrations. A story about friends, teamwork, and hunger. :)
I loved the “Think About It” and “Write About It” sections in the back of the book too. Both provide points for readers to think and write about like—“What would you do if you saw a horde of zombies?” The fun questions and ideas really get the brain pumping!
Check it out at your local Library. Perfect for young zombie fans.
Early reader prose with illustrations. The zombies in town are hungry because the tofu brains restaurant has closed. So, before they wreck the town, the kids feed them meatballs. What happened to these books being vegan?
