This tribute to domesticity has no opinionated call to action or overarching story.

Its just the thoughts of a man who has seen wood stoves become furnaces. He romanticizes stairs and reflects on the changing roles of guestrooms in the home.

A fascination with new ways of living and a nostalgic nod to the wholesome yet burdening past. Witty, wry, and with self deprecating charm, this pocket-sized read is a good poke into the mind of one man in early 20th century America.

You'll find our thoughts today surrounding change aren't so different.
