Bonsai Techniques II

Rate this book
This book was written to fill the need for more advanced knowledge among English-speaking bonsai practitioners than had been included in the author’s first book. He especially wanted to expand on the relationship between nature and the concept of bonsai. Chapters include Rootage, Trunks, Branches, Apex, Styling, Collecting Techniques, Indigenous Trees in Other Countries, Trees to Study, Styling Hints from Sumi-e Paintings, Changing Wardrobes Through Inarching, Shohin Bonsai, Containers, Displaying, Complimentary Plants, Suiseki – Viewing Stones, and California Juniper. Like the first volume, this one too is profusely illustrated with photos and diagrams. The two volumes together provide a veritable encyclopedia of bonsai techniques.
