This book has one of my favorite stories in it - about wearing red and eating chocolate cake. It has to do with how Satan will get us to do things we would never think of doing by just eating a cookie with chocolate chips, cuz it's not chocolate cake. And then we eat white cake with chocolate frosting. Still OK. And before you know it you're eating chocolate cake! I was reminded of the story when listening to NPR about the gay marriage legislation in WA. They came right out and said that they started out by introducing legislation for partners to have medical coverage, then came other protections, and now they finally have gay marriage on the books. We have to stay away from the lines that have been drawn!

Every morning my 12 year old daughter and I would read a story and discuss it for a daily devotional. This was a perfect book for her. It lead to great talks and open communication. It lead to some good daily challenges and self reflection.

I think anyone who has daughters, will have daughters, is a Young Women leader, etc. should definitely read this book. The chapter about the chocolate chips, etc. is the best. I wanted to do a lesson based on that story when I was Activity Day leader, too late now...

This heartfelt book is full of short essays and stories which illustrate the Young Women's values. Ardeth Greene Kapp draws on stories from her childhood, fables, and adult experiences to help Young Women (and not-so-young women) understand the joys and responsibilities of being a daughter of God.

This was another spiritually uplifting book I read as an LDS Young Woman. It goes through each of the Young Women values and expands on what they each mean through stories, scriptures, etc.

I Walk by Faith is a beautiful and uplifting book that encourages readers to trust the Lord, even when they cannot see the path ahead. Ardeth Greene Kapp shares heartfelt experiences and timeless gospel principles that testify of the blessings that come through faith, obedience, and reliance on Jesus Christ. I appreciated the gentle reminders that God is aware of us, guides our lives, and strengthens us as we move forward in faith. This book left me feeling encouraged, hopeful, and inspired to trust the Lord more fully in every season of life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking greater faith and confidence in God's guidance.
