This book describes its Khan's involvement in the formation of Pakistan. The author, a former ambassador to Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq focuses on his experiences as part of the early diplomatic aristocracy. The book will captivate its readers with both its insider's history of the country and the many insights for current and future generations.
As any autobiography, there's little revealing about the author. Disappointingly, there was little or no history of Pakhtoon people. I only read the book because it had the word "Pathan" in the title. The writer was mostly interested in telling us about his efforts to form a confederation between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Belonging to one of most influential families of Pakistan, the author is trying to hard to defend himself for all the actions he undertook as Minister and Ambassador for Pakistan government.
