What thee left behind
died true
simply dayed mind
and then thee take them winter
what grow grow
the river of life go on
and light of morning glow the life
still there song the died sing whe thee come back
time escape to sing the living song
what the lies befor them
still that song reach the stars
river breath morning ear
and the randevow was near
and thee will come back
as october flower at the door
same pain wond
same hope to remove it
my prayer to parphen of night
to peace
amen

One of the best collections of science fiction stories I have ever read. I would describe these stories as Ray Bradburyesque by way of "The Twilight Zone." An end of the world party in New Orleans, a future society where addictions are allowed, except one, which is punishable by death, a meteor crashing in Illinois during a violent storm brings a mysterious alien to a young boy, a super villain traveling back home to be with his dying mother -- these are just a few of the gems in the wonderful collection. Highly recommended!

Excellent collection of science fiction short stories. Only one I didn't entirely gel with but as a whole a really decent collection which definitely evokes the Bradbury style of short stories.
