I used this book as a daily devotional for the last couple of months. It was really good. The devotions were short, with a scripture passage and a verse of the hymn that was being written about. I learned a lot about the hymns I grew up with and the stories behind the writing of them were interesting and fascinating. A good book to use for a daily quiet time.
