I received this for a honest review. I love Sadie Black’s books. This is a little different the others I have read of hers. Let me say Sadie you nailed the MMA fighter. WOW., that was freaking awesome.

I loved the character Nicole Washington. If you have read any of Sadie’s previous books then you know she always makes her women strong and Nicole was definitely that. Nicole was young and at first did not know what she wanted. She had thought she would live it up as long as she could and be that party girl she thought she craved. As you read this book you will see that Nicole will get a few reality checks. She will learn to reevaluate her life.

Nicole takes a job working for Kade Holland. I can think of several words to use for Kade but those or words I cannot use in a review. Kade is a billionaire, I find him cold and heartless, one that uses women, has not respect for a woman at all, and he is one that is used to getting his way. When Kade had interviewed Nicole for a position at UFL he thought she was going to become one of his puppets. He felt like it would not be long before he put her in her place which he thought was underneath him. Kade was not one for relationships. He felt every woman should be willing to spread their legs for him without complaint.

Jax McCarthy was a fighter and had dreamed of making it big in as a MMA fighter. Jax cannot help but be smitten with Nicole when he sees her. I loved Jax’s character. Not only was he a fighter but he was a caring person. There was more to Jax then met the eye. He has an amazing life journey that he keeps hidden from the world. He has had one amazing journey in life that has brought him to the place he is today. I would tell you what it is but I think it is a story in which you need to read. Trust me you will fall in love with Jax.

I loved that this book was about learning to look deeper then what a person shows themselves to be. It is about learning your true worth and respecting yourself. Life throws us punches and it is our chose on whether we want to standup and fight and give it our all or give up and be someone else punching bag. The chose is truly ours.

Awful

Fighter is not a love triangle love has to be a key component of a love triangle...this is a story of a party girl Nicole who gets a prestigious job for the UFL...her boss Kade only hired her because she was hot and he wanted to have sex with her....and she does and let him treat her sexually like the slut that she is but she thinks it's a love affair

She meets Jax who is a fighter and is immediately attracted to him and he is attracted to her also...things happen and truths are found out. Not only is the storyline disappointing but why would the author think you can turn a ho into a heroine????

This book was okay. It got better as I read but I almost stopped. Kade was such an a**hole that I wanted to kick him in the neck. He had absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. His bitchy attitude was not alpha male at all. He was like a petulant child and it got annoying after a while. Nicole & Jax were an ok couple slightly likeable but not as amateurish as Kade.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review. The female lead is introduced as a party girl that gets a job with someone that expects more than work and she is ok with it until a three some with one of the MMA fighters. How Nicole and Jax would come together kept me reading

I received the book as a ARC member in return for an honest review. This story started slow but quickly got interesting. Nicole was an interesting woman in the story. She learned the hard way that she needed to respect herself first before any one else would respect her. I am glad she stood up for herself when Kade tried to belittle her. Kade was a snake and made people do wrong and ugly things while he flashed money in their faces. Thanks to Nicole believing in Jax helped him stay strong and finished his fight with Kidwell making him the champion of all. Jax's mom can be proud of him and now Jax can buy his mother a new house and pay her bills to make life easier for her.

This is a steamy story with very interesting characters! My first reaction to Kade was that he is a complete jerk, and that is being too nice to him! He is a user and has no respect for anyone but himself. Nicole, the smart party girl gets drawn into his web immediately. I loved Jax though! Strong, full of heart and working so hard to prove himself. This is a story that will have you cursing one minute and cheering the next!

I think what would have made this story better was focusing on one persons point of view. I don't think it would have made the story itself any better but it would have made getting through it a lot easier... Too much jumping around from person to person. It got to a point where I wanted to skip around to get back to certain peoples monologues.

I don't usually read books about UFL /fighting, but this was a first and I thought it was good. The storyline between Jax and Nicole I loved it. I thought Kade got off too easy.

Gotta love the action aspect of the book. The intense feelings and emotions that swirl around a match with tetesterone filled men and then throw a woman in the mix (a combustible reaction will occur and frequently) and you have no hold barred ---. If you need drama, persuasion, inevitably, and enough passion to last then this is your book.
