Jasmine’s Game is a short, steamy, erotica story told from the perspective of David. His wife Donna, a nurse, introduces him to her flirtatious co-worker Jasmine who’s also married. The game begins when Donna asks Jasmine to stop by their house to pick up an old computer and desk. Donna’s still at work. David’s home. You can guess what happens next… or read to find out (no spoilers here). The setup is simple but effective, creating a believable scenario that quickly builds anticipation.

The story moves quickly and delivers exactly what it promises: an erotic fantasy scenario with minimal setup and lots of tension. It doesn’t dive into the ethics of infidelity or the emotional fallout. This is pure entertainment, not a deep character study. The writing is clean and direct, focusing on the physical tension rather than emotional complexity. But if you're looking for straightforward erotica, no-frills erotica, Jasmine’s Game delivers.

“Jasmine's Game” wasn’t very erotic until it was. It seemed strange at first, but it was just setting up the rules for truly creative erotica.

I’ve read a longer piece of erotica by this author about mermaids: because of the longer length, it was even more creative and fantastical. Taken together, these short and long stories convince me that the author is going to keep trying to expand the limits of what readers have previously understood to be the (limiting) contours of erotica.

This one is driven by fantasy – that fantasy of someone in a relationship. The hypothetical boggles the mind: just how far can two people go without it counting as cheating or even as the ultimate erotic act.

The contortions that these two characters have to go through to achieve gratification while remaining delusionally faithful are quite incredible. And interesting enough to keep you reading. Because this author is not going to just have erotic moments on every page; instead, the author will invent something original you’ll remember.

"Jasmine’s Game" by Arla Cooper is certainly not for the faint of heart. This erotic novel pulls no punches as it explores desire, boundaries, and manipulation, and it’s a bit of a change in pace for Cooper, as their previous book about Mermaids jumps straight into the NSFW ‘action’, whereas Jasmin’s Game opts for a slower build-up, releasing tension in the latter pages of the novella.
Worth the wait ,as the author favors a more intense buildup and a more evocative piece of characterization, with Jasmine almost leaping into femme fatale territory.
That said, the book isn’t without its flaws. Some secondary characters feel somewhat one-dimensional, and there are moments where the plot slips into familiar territory for the genre. Still, Cooper compensates with solid storytelling and nuanced characterization of the lead.
For anyone interested in bold, erotic fiction that doesn’t shy away from mature themes, "Jasmine’s Game" is a provocative read... Four stars for its confidence, emotional resonance, desire and attention to detail of Jasmine herself.

Good twist

Poor David. He dreams of a beautiful woman he encounters at his wife’s work function and gets more than a casual dalliance. Jasmine is always two or three steps ahead of him, unless she does not want to be. Then it is a different story.
I gave Jasmine’s Game five stars for its originality. I do not want to give anything away, but it is safe to say the way Jasmine toys with her new friend is not something you see often in this, or any other genre. You will understand after you read it.
Like many Arla Coopa stories, Jasmine’s Game reads quickly, which is fine. The story felt complete. It is also written in her characteristic style, straightforward and to the point. A lot of ground gets covered in those thirty-two kindle pages. I am curious to see if these characters appear in later volumes. It would be interesting to see what twists they come up with.

Jasmine’s Game is a steamy, quick read that wastes no time pulling the reader into its seductive premise. At just 32 pages, it’s a fast-paced story with a surprisingly well-executed build-up. Arla Coopa does an excellent job building tension as the main character is slowly seduced by his wife's co-worker. The pacing felt natural, and the first-person point of view kept me engaged from start to finish. What I appreciated most was how the story didn’t rush straight into the action. The sense of anticipation made the payoff all the more satisfying and memorable. I finished it in one sitting and found myself curious about what else the author has written. The writing style is smooth and pulls you in with ease. If you’re looking for a short but enticing piece of erotica that delivers both heat and story, Jasmine’s Game is worth the read.

Not for me, but others might enjoy it.

I enjoy the short steamy stories, but unfortunately this one didn’t resonate with me.
Not sure if that was the plot or the writing style, but I just wasn’t into it.
Some might like it though.

kinda funny!

So this is a new approach to rationalization. If you just don’t call it sex, it’s easy to say you didn’t do it! This was a fun study in creativity and semantics.
