This was a good timeline and who's who of much of the art of the Renaissance, covering Florence, Rome, Venice, and even up into the rest of Europe. It had enough scholarly information and analysis to keep me interested while still staying light enough that this was a very quick read. Oh, and the pictures are GREAT. Nice and big so you can really look at the art, which was a huge plus for me.
Very nice, brief introduction to those who were influential from late Medieval times through the Renaissance and Mannerist periods. Lots of nice pictures and explanations of the stylistic commentary.
