Oh my fucking god ...

Did ANYONE review this thing before it was turned loose on the world? ANYONE? The only redeeming quality was the fact that the thing was free. Full of florid advertising phrases and vapid, intelligence-insulting repetition, this would be a perfect "book" to lull your 3-year-old to sleep. Just a sample:

"The Amazon Echo is a sturdy device that you can use and is made of hard plastic. It is colored black and has many perforations on the outside of the body. While the outsides of the Echo are quite impressive, the insides are even better. Loaded with a DM3725 ARM Cortex-A8 processor and a 256MB LPDDR1 RAM, the device is both powerful and high on capacity. The processor, or CPU, is built into the device and is super-fast. It is also quite smart ...."

Has anyone at Amazon admitted to reading this?

By the way, I gave it TWO stars just for the few crumbs of useful information I managed to distill from it.

Not Useful

This book offers only the what and not the how of functionality. Not really a manual in that sense. It had nothing to offer beyond what is easily learned through the echo's included instructions

Good Starting Guide

This was a good starting guide for Amazon Echo. It goes over the basics of Alexa. I would recommend this for Echo beginners.
