The so called "Kundalini Yoga" practices laid out by the practices in this book are actually a composite of Hatha Yoga and Sikh traditions smashed together by Yogi Bhajan who introduced his interpretation of "Kundalini Yoga" to America in the late 60s.
This is not to say that the methods in this book are not effective. Bhajan's techniques draw from legitimate yoga/spiritual lineages, and I still include several techniques from this book in my daily practice. It is a complete misrepresentation, however, to call these guidelines "Kundalini Yoga". If this book were titled "Hatha Yoga and Traditional Sikh Guidelines" I'd likely give it 5 stars.
