Poetry is language in its most distilled and powerful form, as is said. Rose & Rhymes is a rainbow etched by a plethora of poets. Amidst love & longing, ballads & betrayals, 2 poets impress particularly. Waseem Malla waxes eloquent with lyrical lines such as, 'My pen spills blood, not ink; Every breath seems Socrates' drink.' I only wish we could drench further into the exquisite beauty of his Urdu couplets, since he is described as a trilingual. Shubro Sen also stands out with his deft tryst at conflicting emotions - 'Didn't you lose a bit to yourself; By trying to make me taste defeat?'
Definitely worth a read in the company of mellow light and coffee aroma.
