Title: children's literature

Indian's are religious and the ones who do not also follow cricket like a religion and that's how Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who breathed and lived cricket ended up becoming the God of Cricket!!

I still remember reading in newspapers about people dying in heart attack when Sachin was out during a World Cup match. Such was the effect Cricket had on Indians for generations. And also back then once Sachin was out ,the team was done for, unless Sehwag came into the scene and now there are people who can hold up the team in Middle overs and most of the time till the end too.

Born on April 24,1973 and entering the International arena at 16 in November 1989 and retiring in November 2013 the 24 years saw him transform from The little master to the God of Cricket.

The book follows Sachin's life from childhood till the achievements made throughout his career with cute illustrations. So many achievements and records made in those 24 years and accolades and he always remains a simple humble human.

I remember the day we won the 2011 world cup and Sachin being carried on the shoulders of Indian team players. That one guy is a legend always!!

His love for cricket roots from his Father's love for the game and everytime he looks up with some achievements on the ground he dedicates it to him.

His journey was not exactly a bed of roses but he persevered and dreamed and achieved and showed many young minds of several generations that hard work can always take you higher in life.

I remember reading years earlier that he refused to endorse ads promoting substance usage when he was at the peak of his career, even for good money. That's true sportsmanship in my opinion doing the right thing on and off the field.

Wishing The God of Cricket a Happy 52 birthday!
