Jonathan Young is the cowboy nerd of the Young brood. He’s the website and marketing go to person for Thunder Ridge and he’s not nearly as ruggedly handsome as his eight brothers, or so he thinks. Nerds aren’t like that. They sit behind computers, work on graphics, content, and how to make their clients rich by pushing the envelope to get the name out there. He’s done that for years. Now it’s time to see what else is in his future. Enter Mandy Jenkins, wild child of Bandera Texas and honorary family member of the Young’s. She’s gorgeous, funny, smart, and sweet, and she apparently wants him. Can he come out of his shell and be the man she needs? Mandy Jenkins has wanted Jonathan Young for over three years. He’s been the cowboy of her dreams, since the day she met him. Unfortunately, he didn’t seem interested at all and she’s about given up on the vision of happily ever after with him. A secret in her past could put him beyond her grasp, even if it wasn’t her fault. Will they be able to find true love or will past mistakes be the end of what could prove to be the best thing they ever had?

I received a copy for an honest review from the author.
FINALLY!!! I have been WAITING for these two for-EVAH!!! Ok not forever but still a long dang time.
Mandy is a riot. She is loud and proud and speaks her mind. She has a wild streak a mile long. What Young Bother has her attention? Not the single and wild Joey…oh no….but quiet and reserve Jonathan. Mandy has been in lust with him ever since Peyton hooked her Young Brother waaaaay back yonder. Now little does Mandy know but Johnathan is head over heels in love with Mandy too. However, he is a nervous wreck around her and pretty much any woman. Well Mandy had had it. 3 years of chasing him and she decided it was now or never….so a night out with the girls turns out to be the night to get things started with Mr. Young.
Mandy pretty much goes wild party girl and attacks Johnathan but is stunned to the point of stopping anything when Johnathan admits his feelings towards Mandy!! WHAT!! Our girl is stunned to say the least. When the couple actually begin to date we are super excited but then Mandy lets her past slip through conversations with Peyton. Her past begins to cause some issues with the couple until it all comes to a head!! Mandy needs her strong but quiet Johnathan to come and open her eyes to what they have before it’s gone.
As with each installment of the series, I love catching up with all the couples and enjoyed the planning of the many weddings that are happening at Thunder Ranch.
I don’t get why it took these two so long to get together? I get he was shy, but she wasn’t. And then when they did, she suddenly realized she wasn’t for him. After all the time spent aournd him, you think she would’ve figured that out earlier.! How something was resolved felt weird too. So while I was good with the couple, something seemed off on their story
It one is a bit different from the rest, if had some serious issues in it and I liked how they felt with it. Also a fast read. I would like to give this book 3 1/2 stars.
Who would have thought this gorgeous and most physically imposing of the Young brothers would have been the shy, reserved and unable to talk to women type? Well Jonathan Young is all of that and a nerdy marketing guru to boot; but he really doesn't want to be bothered about his personal life, so he gets on with work and tries his hardest to ignore the all consuming lust he endures whenever the perky, fun-loving Mandy Jenkins meets his gaze.
Mandy has wanted and subtly pursued Jonathan for three very long years, but his constant indifference to her presence has Mandy on the verge of giving up. What Mandy needs is a girl's night out and some random Cowboy to ease her frustrations. But when things get out of hand and Jonathan becomes Mandy shining Knight, the foundation of their relationship is about to shift.
But when Jonathan shows Mandy he is all in and wanting something exclusive and long term, Mandy's hidden secrets and guilt from the past are the catalyst that see her running from the man she has come to love, even at the risk of broken heart.
This story was a long time coming for those of us who have followed this series from the start, but well worth the wait and wonderfully written.
Shy oh computer, marketing extraordinaire has a kinky side...... I truly enjoyed him and Mandy story. Past lives had no barings when the Young men. He will stand by her side and hold her hair, even show a gun and use it. What touched me the most were the last two chapter and the epilogue. I may have cried.
