I am descended from the ancestral lineage detailed in this book. It is fascinating to read about the things my ancestors experienced before immigrating to Kansas in the late 1800's. This portal into a people and their culture will interest any who are curious about the past and the ways in which they lived, their motivations and world view. The Russian Germans were true survivors and a testament to human will and faith.
