I don't see how this book could be useful. The book very quickly describes the basics of some strokes for beginners, as if someone who is afraid to get into the deep end will read a book, and without taking a class will learn how to swim. Even if they did, the descriptions aren't very helpful.
There are no advanced techniques for those of us experienced swimmers who want to get better.
The drills seemed pointless and not even geared toward improving (if I were a kid taking a lesson with these drills, I'd think my instructor was stupid).
And this book is out of date--the latest thinking for swimming recommends some of the things in this book (S stroke for swimming).
